Yesterday a client shared with me that her friend is going through some stress in her personal and professional life and she recommended to her to see me, her life coach.

And her friend reacted like this:

Why? There is nothing wrong with me?

My client was quite surprised at that reaction of her friend.

But I get to hear that often from my clients and friends.

When they share with their partner, family or friends that they are going to a life coach and how it is helping them emotionally as well as mentally and encourage them to see a life coach too; many times they don’t get a positive response.

Usually, people have this perception that going to a life coach, counsellor or therapist means there is something wrong or there’s some huge problem with them.

Nope.

That only means that you care for your emotional and mental well-being.

You care for your personal growth, you care for developing yourself to become a more aware and mindful person.

The help of a reliable life coach is like turning on every light inside so you are better equipped to navigate your way through life’s challenges, big or small.

Here are 11 simple reasons to seek the help of a coach, check out for yourself.

Whether it’s about our health, relationships, parenthood or career, there’s always so much we are going through. Having a coach by our side empowers the journey.

Every time I talk to my coach, I go to the next level in my journey of self-exploration and in my relationships. I learn something new, take action and grow exponentially.

This is a good question to ask before you hire a life coach for yourself, ask them about their own life coach.

The problem with our society is, however modern it is; mental and emotional health has always had a strange stigma attached to it, which is still there.

While the truth is whether it’s depression, anxiety or panic attack, breakup, relationship or parenting issue, emotional or anger outbursts or a desire to understand yourself better, a desire to do better in life or you just want to share your heart out to someone nonjudgmental; getting professional help is absolutely normal and the best thing to do.

This also means that you understand what self-care truly is.

Do you wonder what happens in a typical life coaching session?

It’s a meaningful conversation with a trusted, caring professional who’s like a loving friend who will listen to you without any judgment and personal bias.

You dive deeper into the layers of your being to help you understand better and access your wisdom and solutions to life’s challenges.

The coach might offer you an empowering insight, wisdom nuggets or blind spots about yourself that would take your awareness to a much higher level.

Through the skills of right questioning and deep listening, coach brings new light to your situation, problems, goals and dreams, and helps you learn new skills like empathy, communication and more...

Many times you already know the way forward but need to break some barriers or limiting beliefs to find the trust and drive to implement the right actions and you get that support from your personal coach.

Bill Gates once said — “Everyone needs a life coach”.

Do you have one?

If yes, share your experience of coaching.

If no, what might happen for you when you have one?

Much love and power to you!
